Colorific continues global expansion with creation of Italian office

Colorific has taken the next step in its global expansion with the opening of a dedicated office in Milan, Italy. The operation has been established to better service the ever-increasing demand for its products in the Italian marketplace and to drive and support sales in the country.

Colorific’s high quality alternative inks are fully tested and proven in the field and have a track record of reliable and trouble-free performance. The company is able to offer an alternative ink solution for every type of wide format printer and for every application. Colorific inks are more cost-effective than OEM inks and there is no differentiation in the quality of output.

The company has been selling its range of high quality alternative inks both direct and via resellers to the Italian marketplace for the last four years. Colorific made the decision to open the Milan office to ensure that it could supply and support its customers in a more localised manner.

Colorific’s Italian operations will be headed by Giuliano Marchesin who has been appointed as Business Development Manager, Italy. Giuliano has over 20 years of experience working in the wide format printing industry within a number of leading companies including Neolt and ATP Media.

Colm Garvey, Colorific’s International Business Director, comments, “Giuliano’s knowledge of the wide format market in Italy is second to none. His experience and contacts – combined with our great products – should ensure that the Italian business really takes off.”

Colorific combines with Tech8, the technical support and spares provider for the wide format printing industry, to ensure that the switchover process – from OEM to alternative inks – is made as simple and seamless as possible. In most instances, the transition is a ‘plug and play’ process with no need for flushing.

All Colorific inks are backed up by the Colorific Ink Stream Warranty. In the extremely unlikely event that the inks cause any damage to a printer’s ink stream, Colorific will repair or pay for the repair of the said machine. This ‘alternative inks made easy’ model is proving to be highly successful and takes the alleged risk factor out of making the switch to alternative inks.

Giuliano Marchesin comments, “There are numerous small and medium-sized businesses in Italy that should be benefiting from the cost savings to be made by switching to alternative inks. Typically, savings of 30% can be made simply by switching from OEM to alternative inks – and these savings are particularly welcome in the current tough trading conditions that the industry is facing.”

He concludes, “I’m really looking forward to joining this dynamic, future-oriented company.”

Colorific will be demonstrating its products and talking to potential distributors and customers at all the upcoming Viscom events:

  • Viscom-Sign in Madrid, 6th-8th October. Hall 8, stand E041
  • Viscom Europe in Dusseldorf, 13th-15th October. Hall 8B, stand E83

PaperlinX’s Australian-based iMedia company to distribute Colorific inks

colorific ink tour PaperlinX’s Australian based iMedia company to distribute Colorific inks

Colorific has announced that Australian-based iMedia is the second PaperlinX company to take on its range of high quality alternative inks.  The deal was signed at the Visual Impact Image Expo at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre where both companies are currently exhibiting.

Founded in 1992 and acquired by PaperlinX in 2007, iMedia is a supplier of hardware, software, media, inks and consumables to the architectural, engineering and large format copier markets as well as the higher quality inkjet market for point of sale, display, signage and proofing.

The successful signing of iMedia as a distributor follows the announcement in June 2011 that PaperlinX’s Robert Horne Group had adopted the Colorific ProMax inks for Roland in the UK & Ireland.

Chris Lewis-Williams, Group iMedia Manager, at iMedia, comments, “Colorific’s range of alternative inks is a natural fit for iMedia.  Our customers are always looking for ways to reduce their costs and improve profits and switching to high quality alternative inks is a great way of doing so.”

Shaun Holdom, Business Manager for Colorific, adds, “It’s great to welcome iMedia on board as the Australian distributor for our inks.  We are able to offer a high quality alternative ink to suit every requirement – regardless of printer and application.  All our inks are fully tested and proven in the field and have a track record of reliable and trouble-free performance.  As a result, we are the fastest-growing alternative ink brand in the UK and we want to replicate this success across the globe.”

Holdom concludes, “Our business case is compelling.  Once customers have seamlessly switched to our inks, they are sticking with them because they profit from the significant savings that can be made – up to 50% in some cases – without compromising the quality of output.”

International expansion continues

In a bid to continue the expansion of its distribution channels with like-minded, professional businesses worldwide, Colorific has also announced that it is about to embark on an ambitious ‘world tour’ of major trade events over the coming months.  These include:

  • International Graphics Art Show (IGAS) in Tokyo, Japan, 16th to 21st September 2011
  • Viscom Spain, 6th to 8th October 2011
  • Viscom Germany, 13th to 15th October 2011
  • Viscom  Italy, 3rd to 5th November 2011
  • Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East, Dubai, 31st January to 2nd February 2012
  • Sign & Digital UK, 27th to 29th March 2012
