Isle of Wight-based print shop, DNN Signs has been trading for around eleven years. Damon Larter, Managing Director says, “We started with a 610mm plotter, doing a few vans and signs for friends and family.  We were doing a couple of jobs a week and news spread through word of mouth. After around three to four years, we were in a position to go full time and invested in a cheap Rockhopper printer.  It took a day to print a banner, but it was a worthwhile introduction into the digital side of signage.   Colorific have a new range of Primers which have been specifically developed to aid adhesion and mechanical abrasion resistance of UV digital inks on to a wide range of substrates such as: Acrylic, PVC, Polycarbonate, Fluted Polypropylene and PETG.   Colorific Primers can also be used to aid specific finishing requirements such as cutting/guillotining and routing. In these instances it may not be necessary to prime the whole substrate surface, but wipe only those areas where finishing will occur.   Easy application Colorific Primers There are various easy application methods for Primers currently used by digital printers: • lint-free cloth (eg Clean Room Wipes) • paint roller • paint pad Pour the Primer into a shallow tray. Immerse or soak the cloth/roller/pad in the Primer and remove any excess. Alternatively, pour the Primer directly onto the substrate and
